Oregon Experience: Oregon Wine: Grapes of Place

Oregon Wines Quality Driven

From the very beginning the early Oregon wine pioneers were on a mission for excellence. By the mid 1970s they’d forged a research partnership with Oregon State University to help improve their product and grow their industry.

Today the partnership continues helping both newcomers to the industry and experienced wine makers make premium wine. And a new generation of student winemakers is learning the craft from the ground up.

While filming the upcoming Oregon Wine: Grapes of Place the Oregon Experience team talked with Oregon Wine Institute Director Neil Shay and OSU Assistant Professor James Osborne about ongoing research and the importance of collaborating to maintain Oregon’s quality edge with its world famous wines.
