Oregon Experience: Oregon Wine: Grapes of Place

¡Salud!

Twenty years ago, the pioneers of the Oregon wine industry had a grand idea — help fund the healthcare needs of seasonal vineyard workers who are critical to the success of their industry. ¡Salud! which means “to your health” in Spanish, was the result.

Every year participating wineries auction off their ¡Salud! Cuvees – collectible Pinot noirs crafted exclusively to benefit vineyard workers and their families. In partnership with Tuality Healthcare and other community health organizations, the proceeds help provide services and outreach to vineyard workers and their families.

Last summer the Oregon Experience team visited Ponzi Vineyards to talk with ¡Salud! Clinical Nurse Manager, Leda Garside, and film a ¡Salud! mobile health team in action.
