Jackman's book, "The Oregon Desert," was noted for its blending of Western storytelling and natural history, as well as its full-color photos of desert plants and wildlife. Many of those photos were taken by their friend Jim Anderson. Jim was working as a naturalist for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry when the two authors asked him to contribute some of his wildlife photos to their book. He agreed immediately. In this Gallery, Jim shares some of the photos he's taken over the years in Oregon's high desert.
