August 27, 2004 - Funding Art in Oregon

Artists for generations have struggled with limited means and with patrons who exacted their own price. These days, the economy, competition for grants, and corporate gifts also plays a role in funding local art projects. Today, you'll hear from local artists about how they have made it over the years and about why art is important to Oregon.

Host: Eve Epstein

Guests: Nancy Klos, artist and owner of Klos Studios; Eloise Damrosch, director of the Regional Arts & Culture Council; and Paul Sutinan, co-chair of the art department and director of art programs at Marylhurst University.
