January 28, 2005 — Methamphetamine Epidemic
Oregon has the highest per capita number of meth addicts in the nation. Police say most burglaries and ID thefts are committed by meth addicts. Lawmakers are trying to restrict sales of cold medicines used to make meth. Drug treatment counselors have their hands full trying to treat addicts. This week, we talk about the meth epidemic with a top level law enforcement officer and a drug treatment supervisor.
