February 4, 2005 — Add Fluoride to the Drinking Water or Not?
Oregon has some of the least fluoridated water in the nation. State lawmakers are once again exploring the idea of requiring Oregon towns with more than 10,000 people to add fluoride to their drinking water. Opponents say this isn't necessary and that fluoride in the drinking water is unsafe. Proponents say it would help the dental health of Oregonians. This week, we talk with an opponent and a proponent about fluoride in the drinking water.
Host: Christy George
Panelists: Lynn Campbell, exec. dir. of Oregon Citizens for Safe Drinking Water; Dr. April Love, dentist and member of Healthy Teeth Coalition.
