More than sixty nations signed onto the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) this week, including the United States. Designed as a way for researchers to share observations and data collected from land, water, air, and space, GEOSS promises to enrich human understanding of how the Earth works. We take a look at what this means for weather forecasts and how it will benefit Oregon.

Host: Christy George

Guest: Steve Todd, chief meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Portland, Oregon.
