April 29, 2005 — Art Outreach
Efforts to inspire people to support the arts are as varied as art itself.
Art outreach programs now rely on long-term strategies -- both to build-up audiences and to help cover gaps in public funding of arts education.
Increasingly, these outreach programs have also become necessary in order to receive grants from private foundations and art councils.
This week, we explore a variety of ways Oregon artists have reached out and sparked interest -- and funding -- of their art projects.

Guest: Madeline Meza Janovec, Janovec Studios, Portland, Oregon; Shelley Curtiss, Curtiss Studios, Joseph, Oregon.
