September 9, 2005 — Local Hurricane Relief Efforts
part oneAs Oregon prepares for the possible arrival of hundreds of victims of Hurricane Katrina this weekend, preparations are underway to house and feed these people.
Private organizations are playing a key role in helping these victims -- collecting supplies, organizing volunteers, and providing support.
Today, we explore the relief efforts underway in Oregon and how these efforts may help local residents during a future disaster.
