With a new bankruptcy law going into effect this week, many changes will soon be noticed by people with credit cards and other debt.

This week, we discuss some of those changes with a supporter of the new law, Rep. Darlene Hooley of Oregon's 5th District, who believes the law will help consumers in the long run. Also, we speak with a Portland bankruptcy attorney who opposes the new law based on her 20 years of representing clients filing for bankruptcy.

Host: Christy George

Guest: Congresswoman Darlene Hooley (D - Oregon); and Ann Chapman, bankruptcy attorney and partner with Portland firm Vanden Bos & Chapman, LLP.
