March 3, 2006 — Oil Industry
No one disagrees that eventually we’ll run out of oil. But just WHEN that will happen, is the subject of much debate.
Today, we explore the economics behind the oil industry and take a look at some of those “peak oil” predictions. We’ll also look at what the oil industry thinks will eventually replace oil—and discuss profits and the health of the industry—all from the perspective of the oil industry itself.
