part one part two

With millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S. and the issue front and center in Congress this week, we’re examining how the issue plays out here in the Pacific Northwest.

It’s an issue everyone in the country can relate to—somewhere, somehow, one of your relatives immigrated to America. Even Indians appear to have crossed the Bering Sea to begin life here.

So are mass deportations and criminal charges against illegal immigrants appropriate? Or amnesty for the people already here? We’ll take a look at two opposing opinions on these questions and explore the reality of illegal immigration in the Pacific Northwest.

Host: Christy George

Guests: Jim Ludwick, president of Oregonians for Immigration Reform; and Ramon Ramirez, president of the Oregon Farmworkers Union, PCUN.
