Katharine Jefferts Schori found her religious calling working as a marine biologist at Oregon State University fifteen years ago. Today, she has been named the new presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in America-and the first woman elected to this position.

Jefferts Schori takes the helm of the church at a time when gay marriages, gay clergy, and women leaders remains controversial. We'll chat with Jefferts Schori about these issues and her approach to leading the church.
