Medicaid is a medical plan for people who couldn't otherwise afford healthcare.

The Oregon Health Plan is a variation on Medicaid. It was introduced several years ago to try to cut costs and deliver quality medical care to uninsured people in the state.

Today, we explore what might happen to Medicaid and the Oregon Health Plan as more and more baby boomers age and start relying on the system for their healthcare.

Host: Christy George

Guests: Dr. Alan Garber, head of Center for Health Policy at Stanford University; and Dr. Rick Wopat, family physician and chief quality officer for Samarian Health Services.
