This November, Oregon voters will decide ballot Measure 43. If passed, Measure 43 would require doctors to notify a minor's parents before performing an abortion except in the case of a medical emergency or with the state's permission.

The parental notification measure affects girls aged 15 to 17. Parental notification for any medical treatment is already required for minors 14 and younger.

Today, we're exploring both sides of this issue.

Host: Eve Epstein

Report: Kristian Foden-Vencil

Guests: Sarah Nashif, campaign manager for Yes on 43; and Carol Butler, campaign manager for No on 43.
