Author Robert Michael Pyle moved from Portland and settled in Gray's River, Washington nearly thirty years ago.

A Yale-trained ecologist and a Guggenheim Fellow, Pyle specializes in butterfly research (lepidoptery). His books deal with everything from butterflies to Bigfoot to how humans interact with their natural surroundings.

This week, we chat with Pyle about his latest book, Sky Time in Gray's River, his community, and the meaning of Bigfoot.
