part oneThe band Richmond Fontaine has been a staple in the Portland indie music scene for over ten years. They've also attracted many loyal fans on their tours in Europe.
The singer and main songwriter for the band, Willy Vlautin, spends a lot of time on the road touring, playing music, and hanging out in dive bars. A talented songwriter, Vlautin recently published his first novel, "The Motel Life".
This week, we're talking to Vlautin about his novel, his music, and his time spent betting on race horses at Portland Meadows.
