The World - Pink Martini
Posted by Michael Clapp at March 15, 2005 01:59 PM
The band Pink Martini was born in Oregon. But its worldly cabaret style has attracted a huge audience in Europe.
France adopted the band five years ago after it put out a song based on a well-known French poem.
The song went platinum in France. It was so popular that it was even used in a TV commercial.
Now Pink Martini is completing a European tour to promote its new album, "Hang on Little Tomato."
Correspondent Genevieve Oger met up with the band in Paris.
