Hundreds of film-goers are getting ready to spend three days immersing themselves in the Eastern Oregon Film Festival.
It’s three days of movies, shorts, and music in La Grande. Director Chris Jennings heads the all-volunteer group that works to put on the festival. We sat down with Chris and the festival’s programmers, Ben Morgan and Ian Clark, to talk about the niche they’re carving out for the festival, as a more intimate experience for audiences, directors and producers.
We also spoke with cinematographer Nandan Rao. He screened a feature at the festival last year, and is going back to take part in a panel. He’s got an interesting project developing to work around traditional film distribution models.
