Mining Uncertainty: Laura Fritz In Focus

Walking into a Laura Fritz installation, you have to be ready to embrace uncertainty. She's done many kinds of work, each one tailored to the specs of the space she's working in.

This year, Fritz received an Individual Artist Fellowship award from the Oregon Arts Commission, and has several works in development.

We talked to Fritz about the multidisciplinary skills she brings to each installation, and to several local curators and critics who've become fans of her work.

A sampling of works by Portland artist Laura Fritz, whose compositions are designed to position viewers in uncertain environments.
