The Delines: Previewing The OPB Music Studio Session

OPB | June 25, 2014 4:18 p.m. | Updated: June 28, 2014 12:06 p.m.

The Delines new release, Colfax, is making a move for heavy rotation in your summer playlist.

It's a side-project for Richmond Fontaine frontman Willy Vlautin.

Austin singer Amy Boone interprets Vlautin's moody, melodic songs with an understated radiance. Overall, the record, produced by Vlautin, RF drummer Sean Oldham, and John Askew, gives off a soft-focus, after-hours feel.

The band stopped by for an OPB Music session. You'll be able to see the full version in July. Here's a preview, with Vlautin and Boone talking about their partnership, and shared DNA in songwriting.
