OPB | June 21, 2014 noon

We had a fantastic time in Bend this week. Listen in for an hour of discussion and surprises with artists in several disciplines. We talk to them about their work, and address some broader questions about how Central Oregon’s creative scene is bouncing back after the recession, and the changing look of Bend.

  • Poet Emily Carr, who also runs the Low-Residency Writing MFA program for Oregon State University-Cascades and one of this year’s Pushcart Prize nominees.
  • Painter Donald Yatomi discusses creating art across media: paintings, video games and other digital content.
  • Designer and sculptor Andrew Wachs explores his metal fabrication work and Bend’s evolving built environment.
