The Unconventionals is a show about business entrepreneurs who develop and market unconventional products and services. It profiles companies with names like Big Ass Fans, Dollar Shave Club, MakerBot and Unreal Candy. Some of these are web-based businesses that are reinventing the way we buy razors, order eye glasses, rent a car, or print in 3D. Some are brand innovators, existing companies trying unconventional new approaches -- such as Converse and its Rubber Tracks Studio initiative or Intel with its Creator’s Project. What all of these companies have in common is outsized influence on their markets and a deep passion of their fans. And they all make for great stories.
