TechfestNW kicks off Friday. The two-day festival features a wide range of speakers discussing the future of technology. Ron Wyden will discuss privacy in the digital age, Intel anthropologist Genevieve Bell will be talking about the history of robots, and veteran tech journalist Kara Swisher will speak about the future of computing.

Also among the attractions at TFNW this year is a demo of the Coolest Cooler, a Portland-based Kickstarter project that’s raised more than $8.5 million. There will also an ATM that converts cash to bitcoins and a talent fair connecting job seekers to tech companies looking to hire.

We’ll hear from three TFNW speakers focusing on drone myths and facts, the internet of things, and what could be called a better craigslist.
