Whatever you do — if you’re lucky enough to meet Bruce Springsteen — just don’t call him “The Boss.” That’s the way Peter Ames Carlin starts the new biography, titled simply: Bruce. The music icon has been profiled any number of times, as you might expect, but this is the first biography where Bruce granted his biographer interviews — not just one, but many over nine months. Bruce Springsteen has been performing for four decades and continues to record and tour. He’s currently on tour with his band playing songs from his new album Wrecking Ball. He’ll be at Portland’s Rose Garden arena on November 28.
Ames Carlin got Bruce Springsteen to open up about his struggles with depression and his family history that included a father with manic depression.
