Multnomah County needs to make changes to the way it handles mental health care for Medicaid patients. That’s according to a recent report (pdf) examining the county’s relationship with Health Share, one of two coordinated care organizations (CCOs) that works with Oregon’s most populous county as part of the statewide health care transformation effort.
The relationship between the county and Health Share seems to be a rocky one at the moment, though both entities say some of the changes recommended in the report are already underway.
