Chris Ware’s latest work, Building Stories, has garnered a lot of attention. It’s an ambitious book project that tells the seemingly simple story of a nameless, disabled protagonist from her college years to motherhood. But the tale is told in a groundbreaking form: 14 pieces ranging from slim pamphlets to cloth-bound books illustrate her life and the lives of those around her.
We’re listening back to the conversation we had with Chris Ware in February live at Literary Arts in downtown Portland.
