Hope Alexander

Hope Alexander’s love for filmmaking started in the 6th grade when her grandmother gave her a camera with a basic video function. Six years later, Alexander has moved on from filming her household cats to directing and producing more serious projects.

Alexander, a senior at Clackamas High School, recently returned from the 2014 All American High School Film Festival, where her film “Indecisions,” won the award for best music video. More than 1,000 people attend the event, which takes place in New York City and receives submissions from 15 countries.

We’ll talk with Alexander about her films and what it’s like to be a high school filmmaker.
