  • Uber recently came under fire after a former engineer reported sexual harassment and a culture of discrimination against women. UO law professor Liz Tippett says this sort of behavior isn’t unusual in the business world, but the solution may not lie in better HR practices.
  • Portland-based humanitarian organization Mercy Corps announced abruptly Tuesday that the group has shut down operations in Turkey after the Turkish government revoked Mercy Corps’ registration allowing it to operate there.
  • Portland developer Mark Edlen is stepping back from his company, Gerding Edlen. We talk with him about how he has shaped the city and what he hopes it will look like in the future.
