With some claim of inequality in the news every day now, we’ve decided to take a broad look at inequality over the next few weeks.

We’ll talk about various measures of inequality. We’ll look into the history of it. We’ll ask where you see it, and how (or if) it affects your life. We’ll see where these conversations take us, and we’ll take cues from you.

But we’ll start with a seemingly basic question: what is inequality?
