Killings in Afghanistan

An Army staff sergeant from Joint Base Lewis McChord allegedly killed at least 16 civilians in Afghanistan yesterday. Nine of the victims were children. What effect will this have on U.S.-Afghanistan relations? What’s the reaction at the base in Washington state? How will U.S. officials respond?
