Oregonians have several new laws to comply with in 2014. Fines for texting while driving are going up, as are cigarette taxes and the minimum wage. Oregon teens will no longer be allowed to use tanning beds. New moms will be allowed to take their placentas home from the hospital with them if they want to. Starting in June, parents who don’t want to vaccinate their children will need a note from a doctor.

We’ll dig into these and some of the other new laws with Anna Staver, state politics reporter for the Statesman Journal.
