New Recreation Trail Would Go From Valley To Coast

The planned Salmonberry Corridor would trace 86 miles of Oregon from Willamette Valley and the Oregon coast. Its name comes from the Salmonberry River, which runs through a large segment of the trail. After getting some funding approved in the last legislative session, a coalition of state agencies and others have put together a master plan for the new trail.

Oregon Field Guide producers walked through part of the proposed Salmonberry Corridor with some of the people who hope to see it become a link between Banks and Tillamook:
