Oregon Art Beat Celebrates 15 Years With New Exhibition

OPB | April 18, 2014 12:45 p.m. | Updated: April 18, 2014 2 p.m.

OPB’s Oregon Art Beat is celebrating 15 years on the air with an exhibition featuring work from artists who have been on the show over its run. The art in the show ranges in media from metal and ceramic sculpture to paintings and pottery. Poets and musicians will also contribute their talents.

The exhibition opens Saturday, April 19 at the Peoples Art of Portland Gallery, the Mark Woolley Gallery, and the Art Beat Main Stage Gallery on the top floor of Pioneer Place Mall.

We’ll talk with artist and Peoples Art of Portland Gallery co-owner Chris Haberman, who originally suggested the idea of bringing Oregon Art Beat alumni together for a big group show.
