Oregon Hops & Brewing Archives

Last year, Oregon State University (OSU) launched the Oregon Hops and Brewing Archive — the first archive in the country to document the history of beer. The project ranges from the early experiments with hops in theWillamette Valley, to Portland’s raucous taverns and saloons in the pre-prohibition era, to the effect of temperance on the state’s breweries, to the rise of craft beer over recent decades.

We’ll hear more about the history of hops and brewing in Oregon with the archive’s project coordinator, Tiah Edmunson-Morton.
