Rebroadcast: Life At Crane Union School

OPB | Jan. 1, 2014 12:06 p.m.

In 2013, as part of the Our Town series, Think Out Loud traveled to the small town of Fields in the southeast corner of Oregon. While we were there, we also visited the Crane Union School. It’s one of the nation’s few public boarding schools, drawing kids from all over the sparsely populated ranch land of Harney County. These high school students stay on campus during the week and travel back home on the weekends.
