Service has been restored after a 911 outage Thursday morning that affected both Washington and Oregon. It’s still unclear exactly what caused the widespread outages, which occurred between 1:00am and 6:30am. CenturyLink, the company that provides 911 service for both states, told OPB that the outages in Oregon and Washington do not appear to be related. County emergency management departments provided alternate 10-digit phone numbers for people to call during the outages.
