Oregon summers offer a plethora of entertainment and recreation choices. Among this weekend’s offerings: watching vehicles crashing into each other. Boomer Feemster has been driving in derbies for 20 years. He says it’s easy to explain why he keeps doing it, despite some serious injuries over the years (including a broken jaw). Boomer says simply:

It’s the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the same if no one came to see the show. Washington County Fair organizers have no fear of that  — they recommend advanced tickets for the general admission shows.
