  • University of Oregon journalism professor Brent Walth wrote about Oregon’s dramatic 1986 governor’s race between Republican Norma Paulus and Democrat Neil Goldschmidt — and how that race continues to reverberate in state politics — in the latest issue of Portland Monthly Magazine.
  • The eight children of Verna and Robert Fry were all sent to orphanages or put up for adoption in the 1940s and 1950s.
