Rock critics Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis host the public radio show Sound Opinions, which you might catch Saturdays at 10 p.m. on OPB.  Along with artist interviews, music news, classic album dissections, and album reviews, the guys have a regular segment called the Desert Island Jukebox, where they take turns picking songs that they’d want to have with them if they were stranded on a desert island.

The guys are in town to tape an episode with Broken Bells, the collaboration between Danger Mouse and James Mercer from the Shins. They’re stopping by Think Out Loud to talk about a few songs from Oregon bands they’ve chosen for the Desert Island Jukebox.

How about you? If you were stranded on a desert island, what songs by local bands would you want to have with you?
