Washington lawmakers have less than two weeks left to hammer out budget details and find common ground on a number of key bills. The 60 day session must adjourn by March 13. We’ll check in with OPB’s Olympia-based reporter Austin Jenkins about a few issues that have shaped this session:

  • A battle over tax breaks
  • An effort to prevent Governor Inslee from issuing a death penalty reprieve without first receiving a recommendation from the Clemency and Pardons Board
  • New restrictions on medical marijuana

Do you live in Washington? What issues have you been following this session?
