University Of Oregon Players Suspended From School

Three University of Oregon students accused of sexual assault earlier this year have been suspended from school for at least four years. This comes a month after the students were initially suspended from the basketball team, though the Lane County district attorney declined to pursue criminal charges.

The three students — sophomores Dameyan Dotson and Dominic Artis and freshman Brandon Austin — will be barred from campus and from participation in all university activities for a minimum of four years. That could be extended because it comes with a no-contact order with the alleged victim, and will last at least as long as she is enrolled at the University of Oregon. She just completed her freshman year and has said, through her lawyer, that she intends to continue to pursue a degree.
