  • The Washington Legislature is now in its second special session as lawmakers try to reach a budget agreement. OPB reporter Austin Jenkins fills us in on why these negotiations are so contentious.
  • OHSU physician Dr. Vinay Prasad, is worried that a drug company is skirting regulations by using the plot line of a popular soap opera to push its product.
  • The Ramadan Tent Project’s “Open Iftar” brings Muslims and non-Muslims together around Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast for Muslims during the month of Ramadan. We’ll talk to two students, Sadaf Assadi and Hanan Al-Zubaidy, who last year organized the first Ramadan Tent Project Open Iftar in Portland — and the U.S. — and expect an even bigger turnout this year.
