The University of Oregon has demanded the return of 22,000 pages of documents that pertain to four different university presidents. They were obtained by an unnamed professor who has so far refused to comply with the university’s request. The University set a deadline of Thursday, which came and went with no documents turned over. The unnamed professor has been dubbed the “Edward Snowden of Eugene,” and some suspect that it is Bill Harbaugh, who runs the website, UO Matters.
The Register-Guard’s Diane Dietz has been following this story, and she’ll join us to talk about what’s at stake with these particular documents, as well as the UO’s stance on record requests more broadly.
