OPB | Jan. 21, 2014 12:45 p.m.

Three Woodburn police officers say they are suing the city and members of the police department for systematically ignoring misconduct and retaliating against whistleblowers. The plaintiff’s attorney Jeff Boiler says the claims date back years and the allegations cover a variety of incidents including:

  • An officer sharing a crime victim’s nude photo with fellow officers
  • An off-duty officer attempting to sexually assault the girlfriend of a fellow officer
  • Trying to discredit an officer who had previously complained about misconduct by planting evidence in his patrol car

We’ll talk with Jeff Boiler, the lawyer for the police officers, about the allegations and what’s next.
