Members of the Cornerstone Society value OPB's superb programs and share a commitment to ensure that these important services continue to grow in excellence and impact each year. The Cornerstone Society recognizes donors who gave an annual gift of $1,000 - $9,999, providing the foundation upon which OPB's programs and services are built.

The opportunity to meet local and national public broadcasting personalities through invitations to private events, including the Annual Celebration Events, which in 2009 will feature journalist David Brancaccio, award-winning host of the television program NOW. Additionally, the OPB Salon Series consists of intimate gatherings created to celebrate the best of Oregon and OPB. These substantive, interactive events are offered to members supporting OPB at various levels of the Cornerstone Society and President's Council. In 2009, the OPB Salon Series events will be presented in Bend, Corvallis, Vancouver and locations around the Portland Metro area. Salons will feature an artist visit at a renowned Portland art gallery, innovation in journalism with OPB's news team, Kai Ryssdal, host of Marketplace, a visit to the Metolius River in central Oregon, talking science with Neil deGrasse Tyson of NOVA scienceNOW, behind-the-scenes at the Oregon Historical Society and a visit with the inventive dance troupe BodyVox.
