The OPB President's Council Membership

In fall 2006, Steve Bass announced the creation of the OPB President's Council as an expansion of the growing Cornerstone Society program. The President's Council recognizes annual fund donors of $10,000 or more and includes the membership levels described below. President's Council members are invited to participate in OPB's "Work-In-Progress Luncheons" where you'll hear from our producers and receive an inside look at new work in development.

Other privileges available to President's Council members include the opportunity to meet local and national public broadcasting personalities through invitations to private events, including the Annual Celebration Events, this year featuring Daljit Dhaliwal, the insightful host of the television program Foreign Exchange, on Sunday, June 22. Activities also include the OPB Salon Series — intimate gatherings created to celebrate the best of Oregon and OPB. These substantive, interactive events are offered to members supporting OPB at various levels of the Cornerstone Society and President's Council. In 2008, the OPB Salon Series events will be presented in Bend, Eugene, Corvallis and Newport in addition to locations around the Portland Metro area. Salons feature Ken Rudin, NPR's political editor; Rebecca Eaton, executive producer of Masterpiece, the brilliant photographer and host of television's Art Wolfe's Travels to the Edge and more! President's Council Membership Levels

• Visionaries - $50,000 and up
• Leaders - $25,000 to $49,999
• Advocates - $10,000 to $24,999

OPB President's Council Member Privileges

The President's Council offers its members a variety of services and privileges created to enhance their connection to OPB:

Visionaries - Donors of $50,000 or more

• One use of OPB's studio space for the donor's private event-family celebration, business gathering, etc. (Includes waived room rental fee, other costs may apply.)*
• One "Best of Public Broadcasting Gift Basket" including OPB's local and national productions and other favorites such as selections from Masterpiece Theatre, Mystery or This American Life sent to the donor or another recipient of his/her choice.
• Individual recognition in association with radio or television programming*.
• All privileges listed below.

Leaders - Donors of $25,000 - $49,999

• One use of OPB's Appy Conference Room or PacifiCorp Conference Room for the donor's private event-family celebration, business gathering, etc. (Includes waived room rental fee, other costs may apply.)*
• One OPB Gift Basket containing OPB's local and national productions, books and other gift items sent to the donor or other recipient of his/her choice.*
• Recognition with other President's Council members during television or radio programming breaks.*
• All privileges listed below.

Advocates - Donors of $10,000 -$24,999

• Quarterly "Work-in-Progress Lunches" with OPB President, Steve Bass, OPB producers and personalities.
• Access to major public broadcasting personalities, producers and executives through local events and travel opportunities to meet public broadcasting personalities in fascinating locations.
• Private dinner featuring a major public broadcasting personality and OPB President, Steve Bass.
• Invitations to OPB Salon Series events-intimate gatherings celebrating the best of Oregon and Oregon Public Broadcasting.
• Access to more than 250 audio and video selections through the Lending Library Service by mail.
• President's Update letters, e-mail news bulletins on upcoming programs and special opportunities.
