More About Digital Television
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has mandated that all U.S. television broadcasters build digital stations and prepare to switch over to digital television broadcasting from the current analog system by 2009. Currently, we are in a transitional period in which OPB is broadcasting both analog and digital television services. In 2009, as required by the FCC, OPB and all other U.S. stations will discontinue analog television services. At that time, all programming, including what is airing on OPB TV's analog service today, will be available through digital television services.
