Oregon Art Beat

Adriene Cruz

Adriene Cruz attributes her love of color and vibrant patterns to her African American roots. She grew up in Harlem, but began sewing and making quilts in Portland. She loves the brilliant colors and patterns of African fabrics. Here in Portland, her public art works — murals, banners and billboards — are getting rave reviews.
