Oregon Art Beat

Artist Zen Parry

Shrink-wrapped bones, a glass baby and an afghan made of glow-in-the-dark spiders: they’re all part of an installation piece by craft artist Zen Parry. Zen likes to use everyday materials like paper, glass and plastic, and apply craft techniques to them to create cultural touch-points. And she likes to work at night, to tap into the dream side of her brain.
